Review
The guys from Remedy Entertainment back to load a new version of the adventures of Max, an ex-DEA agent now reinserted into the police force of New York following the events of the first episode.
As any first version of a game, this release (1.0) lacks some patches and bugfixes corrected with the latest patch (for version 1.05). Between these corrections are:
- An "Exception: Bad Allocation" problem with some old operating systems,
- The latest version runs a little bit faster on startup on low-end computers.
For which you have not played the first chapter of this saga, let's just say that this is one of the best third-person shooters I ever played, and one that mixes a dash and absorbing atmosphere with an amazing playability thanks to a bullet-proof implementing the "bullet-time", this means that we can slow down the action at any time, just like Matrix, to react and aim more accurately.
The gameplay is one of the strengths of this title, the action always takes place at night and most of the game is played in indoor venues, tour various decorations including a hospital, a building construction, apartment blocks, Mafia capos's mansions and even an abandoned funfair.
If you can't wait to play some levels of this game because you are out of money, you can download a demo of the game on the download link provided within this review. Enjoy! |
